Summer Trends: Networking Events & Meetups🕵️‍♀️

“SF is back.”

- The Twitter Gurus

You’ll see professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators come together to share ideas & build meaningful connections. The post-pandemic era is now quenching our thirst for personal (in person) interactions.

Most networking events are limited by budget, and I want to make sure that doesn't constrain you. Here are some tips for a low-budget meetup:

  1. Utilize Co-Working Spaces: Many co-working spaces offer free and/or affordable event packages for members. Take advantage of their trendy settings & amenities! Ex: WerqWise in SF

  2. Get Outdoors: It's Summer. Enjoy the sunshine. Topic-centered “Hot Girl Walks” have been popular in 2023. Ex: Zehra Naqvi's Pitch & Walks in NYC

  3. Community Spaces: Look for free or low-cost community spaces like libraries, community centers, or local cafes. All would love the added traffic brought into their space Ex: Temos Cafe in SF.

  4. A Free Show: There's talent everywhere, just itching to get out there, perform in front of some eyeballs. Work with a local artist, creative, band, etc! Ex: English Muffins Band in SF

  5. Volunteer Events: Feel good anyone? Partner with a local charity or non-profit participate in a volunteer activity together, while fostering a sense of community. Ex: All you can eat Pancake & Waffle Night with Salaam Foundation

  6. Co-host with Partners or Sponsors: Collaborate!! Co-host the event, share the cost & resources. Want to be a sponsor? Need help finding one? Let me know! Ex: Vouch co-sponsored tons of events during SF Tech Week!
