Tips on how to use Afterwork's Vendor Recommendation tab

Afterwork’s Vendor Recommendation Tab can speed up discovery and communication for your event! 🎉

Hey Afterwork fans - we are here with another quick tip on how to use the Vendor recommendation tab! We are live in 10,000 cities so you can plan an event pretty much anywhere in the world!

Here is a quick explainer video for how the “Vendors” tab works:

If you don’t have time to watch the video, here are a few steps to help you familiarize yourself with the Vendors Tab:

So after you have magically set up your event, you will see a tab labeled “Vendors”.

When you arrow over to it, there will be a bunch of recommended vendors - from venues to catering options (and anything else you requested from our AI). You will see all of their Google links along with different organizational columns labeled email, website, type, status, cost, comments (which is a generated description about the vendor). You can edit/fill these out to help keep you organized!

Vendor Portals:

Every Vendor row has an associated vendor portal. When you click the “Open” button that appears when you hover over a vendor’s “Name”, a pop-up with all the vendor information will come up. From here, you can view any emails sent by the vendor, any comments you have on them, and any files you have uploaded for them.

Recommendations:

As you scroll down further, you will see a “Recommendations” area. Here you can query the system to find more venue or vendor recommendations that you can add directly to your table for your event

Email Integrations For the PRO Users:

Pro users also have the additional feature of integrating all of their vendor emails so they can directly communicate with vendors through the platform. It’s only integrates with Google right now, but we are working to get the other emails on too!
