Hey Afterwork fans - all of us want to have endless budgets for our events, but that’s not the case anymore (especially in this economy).

Budgets are down and event demands are up, and we all know what that means - expenses are being monitored tightly by our higher-ups. So now we have to get creative with how we spend and still put on awesome events.

Here is a quick explainer video for how the “Expenses” tab works:

If you don’t have time to watch the video, here are a few steps to help you get started on the Expenses tab:

So after you have set up your event, you will see a tab labeled “Expenses”. Here you will be able to monitor all the expenses that come up for your event

Estimate using AI:

In the top right hand corner you will see a spot that generates a quick budget breakdown for your event’s budget. If you hit the “More Details” it will show you an explanation of how the budget was broken down.

Expense Table:

As you scroll down, you will see an expense table where you can input all of your expense details and keep track of statuses of payment, due dates, and files/links to the invoices.

Progress Bar:

The progress bar in the top left hand corner also keeps track of your total spend from your table. You can always update your budget with the “edit event” icon in the top right corner

Virtual Assistant + Expenses Tab

Afterwork’s virtual assistant is also around to help give you advice and feedback on building a budget! You can ask it things like “How should I allocate my budget?” “Is spending 70% of my budget on the venue too much?” and more!
